Time-dependent universal conductance fluctuations in IrO2 nanowires
: Single-crystalline iridium dioxide nanowires show the time-dependent universal conductance fluctuations (TUCFs) at cryogenic temperatures. The conductance fluctuations persist up to temperature T as high as nearly 10 K. The root-mean-square TUCF magnitudes increase with decreasing T, reaching approximately 0.1 e2 / h at 1.7 K. We ascribe these conductance fluctuations to originating from the ...
متن کاملConductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays
A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...

متن کاملConductance and conductance fluctuations of narrow disordered quantum wires.
In this paper we present and discuss our results for the conductance and conductance fluctuations of narrow quantum wires with two types of disorder: boundary roughness (hard wall confining potential) and islands of strongly scattering impurities within the bulk of the wire. We use a tight– binding Hamiltonian to describe the quantum wire, infinite perfect leads, a two–terminal Landauer–type fo...
متن کاملAngular Dependence of Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Noble-Metal Nanowires
We investigate fluctuations in the magnetoconductance (measured at T ø 50 mK) of noble-metal nanowires in a mesoscopic two-lead configuration, with lengths 500 and 1000 nm and widths w between 45 and 360 nm. We determine the dependence of the correlation field Bc on the angle u between the direction of the magnetic field and the long axis of the wires. u is changed at low T continuously from 90...
